Developmental Edit

A developmental edit gets into the nitty-gritty of your story. Your manuscript is reviewed in-depth to identify what’s working, what needs improvement, and to provide you with realistic feedback to keep you moving toward a finished draft.

A development edit includes:

  • Two read passes of your manuscript in its current state
  • Developmental appraisal report with a chapter-by-chapter breakdown, including comments on:
    • Manuscript organization 
    • Manuscript details, including where readers might desire more information and where to cut the fluff (conciseness)
    • Defense of the main claim
    • Author voice and tone
    • Clear identification of target audience
    • Glaring grammatical issues
    • Author credibility
  • One (1) One-hour call to ask questions
Minimum Completion Timeline: Seven (7) weeks*

Copyedit

A copyedit addresses the technical edits of your manuscript, setting you up for release day success. 

The Anointed Editorial’s copyedit process blends components of line editing, which focuses on sentence-level edits, and copyediting, which addresses issues such as spelling and punctuation.

A copyedit includes:

  • Two copyedit passess, checking for
    • Spelling, punctuation, and grammar (SPaG)
    • Sentence restructuring and word usage suggestions 
    • Correct use and citation of outside facts/sources
    • Consistent style choices
    • Basic formatting
  • One (1) midpoint call of one (1) hour (> 10,000 words), one-and-a-half (1.5) hours (10,000–20,000 words), or three (3) hours (< 20,000 words) between editing rounds one and two
  • Personalized style sheet for future reference
Minimum Completion Timeline: Six (6) weeks*

I’m happy to offer writing services for those that want to exemplify their brand’s brilliance but don’t necessarily have the time or skill to write. 

Audiovisual to Content writing service

Are you a faithful Christian podcaster or YouTube creator who’s spreading the message of the gospel? Would you like to repurpose your audio recordings or videos into other content like daily devotionals? Same message. Same truth. Same vessel. Different format.

With the audiovisual to content writing service, I’ll turn your YouTube videos or podcast audio into daily devotionals (how many — you choose) to help you broaden your reach.

Included in this service:

  • Transcription of audio or video content (NOTE: This is done with the use of otter.ai)
  • Daily devotional content amount of your choice, up to 600 words per post
  • Two (2) review rounds by you (totaling three (3) passes by TAE)
  • One (1) 45-minute midpoint call between review rounds one and two

Content Writing Service
