The Anointed Editorial has been around since 2021.
Starting a writing support service was not on my 2021 bingo card.
It was the height of the pandemic-that-won’t-be-named. I was working from home, doing contracting work as a customer service rep — a looong way from the teaching career I had obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s to pursue.
I knew there was more. We had an almost two year old, so working away from home wasn’t feasible. I asked myself, What skills do you already have that you can use?
God told me in that moment that in the years to come, others would want to share inspiring words that drew people to (or back to) Him. He told me that I would serve Christian writers along that journey.
And so The Anointed Editorial was born.
2021-2023
I’m not one to boast, but I’ve been able to do some incredible work through The Anointed Editorial, and afterall, this post is about celebrating how I’ve supported other Christian writers.
Between 2021 and 2023, I:
- Edited full-length manuscripts
- Edited Bible plans that have featured on the YouVersion Bible app
- Transcribed audiovisual devotionals into written devotionals that have also been accepted on the YouVersion Bible app
- Written nurturing email content, social media posts, blog articles, YouTube video captions, and sales emails
- Spearheaded a volunteer content contributor program for a virtual ministry
It felt like I was on fire building my business during those years. I had a five-figure year. It wasn’t much, but I was darn proud of what I’d done.

Enter 2024
I was blessed to carry my third child between 2023 and 2024 as we wanted to grow our family. However, this pregnancy was the hardest of the three.
My bundle of joy was born, screaming and healthy, but it was very difficult to recover and a lot fell through the cracks. So much so that in 2025, I felt God urging me to place my business on a soft pause.
He told me to gut everything — let go of clients (that were struggling to hold on anyway), close down social media, stop posting on the website. It was downright hard, and I struggled to do it.
Okay, full transparency: I didn’t do it. For months. But God in His God way caused every connection to dry up. He forced my hand. And today I can truly say I am thankful that He did.
Here We Are Now
So here we are in 2026. I’m rebuilding The Anointed Editorial slowly, with intentionality, while honoring God.
What’s Changing
Niching out. That’s crazy to say, isn’t it? Well, you’ll see me using more broad terms like ‘Christian creators’ instead of simply ‘Christian writer’ or ‘Christian author.’ This is because I’m broadening my reach to not only those who already write, but those who want to write and even those who may produce content for God’s kingdom in other ways (like podcasting, for example).
Highlighting writing services. Through the last five years I’ve found that clients are just as interested in my writing services as they are my editing services. Honestly, I’ve been a writer longer than I’ve been an editor. I’ll be using this skill more.
More things to come. There are going to be other things I hope to get into that I won’t say right now. Just know I’m excited about the direction God is leading me in.
It’s humbling and exciting to write a post like this. Running a business, a family, and a marriage all at the same time while still keeping God first is all-consuming, but I’m thankful. I’m also thankful for your support and collaboration through the years, and I hope that as I evolve, The Anointed Editorial remains a place of authentic connection and assistance for Christian content creators.
